Built in 1855, the Buckner Hill House is one of the largest antebellum plantation houses in the state and is an excellent example of Greek Revival architecture. The house has undergone few modifications in its history and exhibits original mahogany and rosewood graining, as well as ornate plaster cornices. Featured in the film "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood", it is located just southeast of Faison.
